I don't know about this year, I don't even know if they're allowed to tell...yet.
Last years cut-off was 612.5, and when I rang them (before 15 Oct 2009), they said its likely it would go up, but not by a big amount.
HOWEVER, I think it depends on what averages the overall pool of applicants get.
On a different note, I would have thought by now that they've given out all their interviews.
Does anyone know if they send rejections out in batches or not?2010 Undergraduate Applicant!
Aberdeen - Acknowledged
Hull York - Interviewed 16/01/2010 > OFFER 18/02/2010
Barts - Rejected 12/02/2010
Liverpool (based at Lancaster) - Interviewed 24/11/2009

This early in Feb, they can't have sent out all their interviews yet surely? Good luck to anyone still waiting anyway...
Did anyone else have an interview on 28th Jan? When do you think we might hear from Barts? I know the undergrads on 21st heard a week later so maybe we'll have the same luck!

Yeah I had my interview for the 5 year on the 28th as well, and haven't heard anything yet.
I was holding out hope for hearing today, since it seems like most people are hearing within a week. But (sad i know) i checked last years barts thread and the people interviewed on the 28th had to wait like 3 weeks to hear back, and i called admissions and they told me it would be about three weeks :S so i guess we'll just have to sit tight!

Do you guys think that there are still interviews remaining to give out?
Degree: BSc Psychology - 1st Class Hons
2010 Entry
Oxford GEP - Rejected without interview (Low UKCAT)
Kings 5 yr - Rejected without interview - maybe UKCAT?
Southampton GEP - Rejected
Barts 5 Yr - Rejected - Missed UKCAT Cut-off
UKCAT - 627.5

Heartbroken...but

I would think there's still another batch because they've not given out offers/rejections for the last round of interviews that happened (the grad ones a week and a bit ago) so yeah.. could well be another round I guess. Depends on how many good people they got from the last batch tho?

Hi guys,
Also haven't heard from them. With this in mind I called Admissions and was informed (in a not very friendly and enthusiastic way I might add..) that interviews will still be held during March and that invitations will still be sent during the next two weeks. Basically what this means is that who does not hear from them until the end of February, most likely won't be hearing from them at all... Sorry for sounding so cruel but it's reality (my reality at least...)
All the best,
p

That's very high indeed! Is that for the 5- or 4-year course? In September, I was told by them that last year's cut-off for the 5-year course had been 2450. If this value of 2660 is correct, and I'm not doubting you macange, I'm doubting the Admissions people..., it's a major increase.
As I previously wrote, they provided me with a different information just last week! This just demonstrates their unreliability and the fact that what the Admissions people say (at least over the phone...) is not necessarily what's going to happenFurther to what I just said, she said the last interview was 23rd February and they are in the process of offers / rejections at the moment.
On the other hand I can't say that this increase is totally unexpected as I heard from other sources that Barts will be relying more and more on UKCAT scores for their selection process. Do you know how many applicants/interviews/offers they have?
All the best,
P

Hey P,
I know it's crazy but I definitely called the Undergraduate Office and made it clear I was asking about the Undergraduate 5 year course and not the 4 yr Graduate course. The lady was a bit sharp with me, I suppose because she must get so many anxious would-be-students calling up. I asked if they'd interview anyone below that score and she said ' No'. Still there is hope, I wouldn't be too down, at least there is no rejection as yet... but the score is ridiculously high but I suppose there are a lot of UKCAT study aids available nowadays. The lady I spoke to made it sound as if they were at the very last stage of the interviews/ offers process and said that most offers had been given out now and that if you are going to hear it will be at the end of next week at the very latest. Good luck and I would suggest that as many people call up as possible to corroborate this information.
Keep hoping!!!
macange
