    Applied for GEM? - Application Progress Thread

    Hey Guys,

    This is just a thread for all those that have applied to Barts to study 4 year GEM to keep us all up to date.

    If/When you get an interview / correspondence, just post the info. on here. Will help everybody keep up to date.

    Good luck everybody, and hope to see a few of year next year in Barts!

    Hi! I've applied to Barts GEP too.
    Barts GEP - offer - FIRM
    Newcastle 5-year - unconditional offer - INSURANCE
    Barts 5-year - offer - declined
    Kings GPEP - offer for 5-year - declined

    Have also applied to the Barts GEP - would love to get in. Couldn't work out how they narrowed 1000 applicants down to 45 places and how they interviewed the top 10% of UKCAT people but seeing as that's actually 100 people (can you *see* how amazing my maths skillz are?!!? ), then it made more sense.

    Eeek, is that how they choose?! Oh well, i guess they need a way to filter down the numbers. But still, cutting off 900 before interview. Cold.

    Actually, I think those are fairly typical numbers... in the sense that most places seem to interview twice as many people as they have places. E.g. Bristol has around 350 places (I think) and they interview around 750.

    Bristol i believe only has about 18 places on the graduate programme... I guess you were referring to the Undergrad.
