Mine was only 627.5 this year.
I'm not quite sure what questions they'll ask at Barts. Obviously, they'll ask you 'why Barts?' and maybe something along the lines of how to cope financially in London? THe rest will probably be standard questions that other unis ask (why medicine/not nursing, negative points about yourself and they'll probably ask you to describe a situation when you had to...) as well as drawing upon your personal statement.
Make sure of one thing, that you know your statement inside out and be able to draw upon aspects of it in more detail - what you did (not what WE did eg, in a team. They want to know what you did in the team), why you did it and how you can implement the sills and experience you've gained to possible situations in the future AS A DOCTOR. Try and relate things to what it's like to be a doctor (this way you show them your understanding of what doctors do and what they face).
Don't be blunt and don't drag out answers too long, making sure you address what they're asking - discussing both sides without being opinionated - leave your own opinion to the end (but be careful, opinions are risky unless you can back them up!). That's all I can think of at the moment off the top of my head. Hope that helps somewhat?Biomedical Sciences BSc Hons.

I applied on October 1st and have an interview on December 4th! compared to the other medical schools they give you a very short amount of time to prepare... but i do like the fact that the ethical case study is given to you with the invite. I've just got to get my head around it and prepare some valid things to say :s has anyone else got an interview yet? I'm so nervous as my last interview didn't go as well as I had planned... if anyone has any useful info it's more than welcome!!

Yes, Barts have started giving out interviews. I know some people being interviewed this week. However, don't worry if you have not been called yet: last year they were interviewing well into January and February.
EDIT: Barts seem to give around a week's notice for their interviews, so you will probably hear about a week before the interview date. Hearing back once you've been interviewed can vary from (very rare, only if you are last batch of interviewees, probably) the day after the interview, to three weeks after, with the normal period being two weeks after interview.Last edited by minnako; 28-11-2009 at 10:02 PM.

Do they send interview invites via post or email? There is at least 10 days backlog of mail in my local sorting office at the moment so a bit worried that if I was lucky to be called for interview the date would have passed before I even received the letter...
