My UKCAT was 627.5 so I'm hoping the cut off hasn't increased too much from last year, although nobody seems to have a clue about the cut off! End of Feb interviews - ah theres a tiny weeeny little glint of hope I think i'll cling on to it for dear life

Must have gone up quite a bit , i got 625 last year and got interviewed on the 27th of jan and had heard by 12 jan , this year I got 647.5 and havent heard a thing . Apparently they dont look at your personal statement either until the interview in order to make it fair . So your grades along with the ukcat score determines if you get an interview. A gentleman from admissions told me this.

So I guess the rumours that they over offered last year were true!! Must have had too many deferred entry students, therefore UKCAT requirement for us shoots up, crazy! Sorry to the people who didn't get an interview

I'm sorry to hear that so many people will lose out to the higher UKCAT. I know an insider at Barts admissions and they told me that not many people took up the deferred entry last year as they bursary was quite small (3-4K). There have been 100,000 more applications to universities this year which hasn't helped. Plus there are rumours that the UKCAT may have been slightly easier this year which may account for higher scores overall and therefore an increased cut-off.
