The timetable does vary slightly from module to module but roughly in your first year:
Monday: 3-4 hours of lectures in morning followed by 2 hour microanatomy or anatomy sessions in the afternoon
Tuesday: 2 or 3 lectures max and a 2 hour PBL session.
Wednesday: 2 or 3 lectures max in the morning. Rest of the afternoon is free for a sport/society/hobby
Thursday: Alternate weeks with either a full day GP placement or additional anatomy/microanatomy sessons (~ 4 hours total).
Friday: 2 or 3 lectures max and a 2 hour PBL session.
Free time is dedicated for self directed learning.Last edited by bennett; 05-01-2009 at 07:56 AM.

There's plenny 'time for socialising, if you want. The SU actively encourage it. The workload is much more than that of most other degrees, so I feel sorry for people who came here from school (a bit), but it doesn't have to be all-consuming if you don't want it to be.
You'll love it, mate

Well im looking forward to sit with my nose buried in the books :P This is something I like, but I wouldnt want to spend whole 5 years on studying only, lol. I guess time management is the crucial thing.
