its silly, i know that term time at most uni's dont start till tommorow at least so it wasnt very likely anyone would be posting anything, but i was still checking track now and then over x-mas...how sad!

This has normally been the case in recent times for the London hospitals and has simply been exaggerated by the increased grade entry for Barts this year (higher than Imperial, Kings and UCL looking at the medschoolsonline website) and this is the most pertinent factor in my opinion. Usual applicants who may have made a stab at Barts as a high ranking choice compared to other non-london universities on their list are not taking the risk this year as are some die-hard-all-London medical school applicants who may have applied elsewhere. For most people on NMM getting into a medical school is the overarching priority and understandably they will take as few risks as possible to get it. This is combined with the fact that the Barts admissions machinery probably isn't at full throttle yet compared to other unis like Kings and UCL.

Hopefully this strategy by the medical school will pay off in the longer term and I think it will given the people at its helm.

lol! perhaps you misunderstood the point of my message, i am aware that it is counter-productive, i only said that to highlight how mad this application process...particularly the waiting, is making everyone...myself included.

yes, yes, i know on track it would only be a rejection, but at least i'd know, as oppose to waiting for snail mail.

I havent been w8ing for any replies, only ive been focusing on my revision that is why I wasn't that match stressed or, like for some people, depressed. i didnt expect to get any interview up to late january but i got interview in december, followed by offer. and this is the best feeling Ive ever had... something that I wasn't expecting (i.e. interview ;d).

Ofcourse, after interview Ive been pulling my hairs out for a week, until Ive checked my track and saw an offer

just relax and check your letter box regurally Ignore UCAS track, unless it is better to find out that uve been rejected rather than hoping for interview :/
