Life in Barts...
I'm just curious. I was just going to do a GEP in Ireland but I scored an interview with Barts undergraduate program (wtf) and now I'm considering doing the whole undergrad thing again...Okay I know I'm getting way ahead of myself here. To anyone currently studying in Bart's...are there many older students? Or are pretty much all of the students around 18 years old?
Ok I'll be 23 when I start...it's not that bad.Psshyeah...
BARTS AND THE LONDON 09!...this scares me.

Hey malevolant elephant (great username btw!),
I'm going to be a grad on the Barts undergrad course starting 2009 (i'll be 24, so like you only mildy mature). I applied last year for deferred entry and was rejected from kings, imperial and barts GEP courses, however got an interview for 5yr at barts and was offered a place a couple of days later!
With all the open days I went to at Barts they said about a quarter of the year (prob about 50 folk) are mature and graduate students, and plenty of the students who showed us around were in the same position a couple of years ago.
So it's a good option I'd say - plus their new PFI is on schedule to open around 2012, so there'll be a shiny new hospital for folk to get F1 jobs in!
(: Proposals for The Royal London)
Good luck anyway!

Yeah about a third of the year are grads, around 80 I would say. 23 isn't old, there are many people who have done Masters or PhDs floating about.

Hey, i'm an undergrad in year 1. There are a large number of graduates on the course. Some are 40+ so you really wouldn't be out of place being in your 20s. Hope this helps.
