Everyone should be entitled to see their reference; this is not "Kafka's" - The Trial; after all we live in an open society; and teachers' who wish to conceal a reference from the candidate are only doing so with possible mal-intent !

I also read my reference and it's a good thing I did! There were spelling mistakes in there... I also asked him to explain more about our university so that I wouldn't have to waste lines in my ps explaining it.
I'm not sure what reference letters are supposed to look like, but since he spent years on an admissions panel I do hope he wrote me a good one!
