    :o

If you've got the personality, background and answers to their questions then I'd say you have good chances.

    Best of luck.

I am still waiting to hear about the five year programme. When were you told about your interview Anat? Congratulations on this achievement!

So if you've got an interview then the hard part is over, hm? 2/3 chance of getting in once you're sat in front of the panel. How many applications for 950 interviews, I wonder...

If anyone is a graduate who has applied for the 5 year course, or is on the 5 year course, do u think they will ask u why u did not apply for the 4 year course? I dont really have an answer except for " I thought I would have a better chance!"

I don't think they would ask that but you could say that the structure of the 5 yr appealed to you more, like the fact its at a slower pace etc. So depending on what your first degree is that may suit you better. I've heard that if you have a human biology background then the first year of the 5yr is a doss, but if your coming from another discipline then that would prob be beneficial.

certainly no anatomy questios ric, its literall this:
    1. why do you want to be a doctor?
    2. give an example of when you have shown leadership/sensitivity?
    3. discuss the video that you will have just watched!
    4. laugh at eachother's jokes!!

its fun, believe me. the hardest thing is the damn prioritisation task (given a list of 6 scenarios, you are the SU president and have to put them in order of importance to address in the meeting with staff and students.things like a student's constant absence and troubled home life, a girl who wants to take a year out to compete in olympics, a lecturer who wants to advertise his groundbreaking research etc. they want you're REASONING, not correct answers!!).

GEP is very (very very very) intense, but as a graduate you can just about handle it. give up on any notion of high marks though, even the best of us just pray to pass. as for UKCAT, i only got 630, but i reckon this year 660/680 should do from what i've seen and heard. the gys on the 5 year course are certainly more care-free and less serious than us, i have spoken to quite a few of them. GEPs will go library in their 1 hr break for example, the 5 years will chill over coffee. BUT, i have to say it generally feels like a more adult surroundings (depends on your preference-sorry if i've offended anyone).

contact me if you want any further details.
    1st year GEP medicine Barts
    Medical Engineering QMUL (I GOT A 1st ! ! !)
    2008 entry:
    QMUL GEP (SUCCESSFUL!!! FIRM)
    Kings GEP (rejected w/o interview)
    Soton GEP (rejected)
    Warwick (successful, but withdrawn!))

UKCAT (who really cares now...630 if you do)

    I can say no more
