Entry Requirements for Bart's GEP
Is anyone applying for Bart's GEP with an engineering degree?
Listed requirements include "science based degree". Most other universities who have "science" requirement won't accept engineering. I contacted Bart's Admissions a few months ago asking whether they would consider a degree in aeronautical engineering (which is highly physics-based rather than chemistry). They came back saying "they would be happy to" (which really surprised me).
However, I am kind of worried that when they start reading the forms I might be at a disadvantage versus bio/ chem applicants and at that point I might just get binned. Therefore in a quandry whether or not to use Barts as one of my choices. But really want to as they are one of the only three London unis I can apply to.
Are there any graduates out there who are trying to figure out the same thing?
Equally, if anyone who has been through these admissions processes before has any insight, I'd really be grateful. For example, how these situations tend to play out when selection processes are in full swing...
Thanks very much.Last edited by Solitaire; 09-03-2005 at 11:14 PM.

Hi,
I only applied for the Barts 5yr, not 4 yr.
A background in engineering was not a disadvantage
Good luck
Chris
