Barts and The London is the name of Queen Mary's School of Medicine and Dentistry. Queen Mary is a college of the University of London. St. Barts and The Royal London are the two hospitals associated with Barts and The London (hence the name). Barts and The London is also an NHS Trust in the same area.

I was mightily confused at the beginning as well...hope this helps.

    Hi bennett
Thanks ever so much for your post. It has definitely raised a few issues i hadnt personally thought of and has been extremely helpful

I work in academia (research) at the moment but wouldnt really consider myself the intellectual type (even though i like to believe it haha)

I completely agree that medicine is far more than the academics, hence why im so glad i got in and that they could see beyond the 'not the best grades' I maybe stupidley based my judgement on the fact that UCL felt sooo right at interview, but barts just didnt feel right - odd i know, but it seemed to work for my first degree and i had the best 4 years.

I definately prefer the PBL ideas and practical hands on ethos of barts, but despite this cant seem to switch my preference

Does anyone know (ie other grads on the course) what its like as a grad at Barts. Do grads get involved and integrated well into both educational and social aspects of life?

Cant believe im now having a struggle to decide when i never believed id even get one place!! Really goes to show it is possible for any fellow non-einstein-ions

    Hi Emerald, hehe

The best person to ask about grad life and integrating at Barts would be someone called Fluffy on http://www.admissionsforum.net
