I'm impressed. As well I should be by someone so much more experienced in life than I.
I can tell you clearly want this a lot and you really stand out in contrast to many 17 year olds who are in it for the reputation, the money, the glory etc. (not that they're all like that of course). I am not in the least surprised you managed to win a place.

You won't be able to get through a day where someone doesn't make a "she's old enough to be my mum!" joke though.

Right that's it, I'm not going. If people are just going to be mean when I get there I'm not going to go..so there... ;-)

don't worry, I'm in the first year at Barts and there is someone in my year (a friend of mine) who is 45!
