Ouch - everyone else seems to have got their offers today....really panicking now!
I'm so worried now that in spite of the lovely and encouraging messages on here after I messed up my Barts' interview.....it would seem that most people received offers today - including some who were interviewed on the same afternoon as I was......so it's looking pretty bleak.
I was secretly hoping that the 'you may not hear until March' applied to me, but obviously not if people from the same day have received their offers.
Very well done to all of you, by the way - and an especial big cheer to Everhopeful, who is lovely and will go on to great things as a doctor, I am sure!
If I don't get an offer from Bart's 5 yr, then all I have to go is my MSAT based GEPs - and as I was (only lol) in the 86th percentile, that isn't filling me with hope, either.
Sadly, it's starting to look as if it may be time for me to step off the Meds-to-be merry-go-round!
Congratulations to all who have heard, and good luck to those, like me, who are still racing to the front door (or UCAS track!) every day!
love Gabby xx

Same here, had my interview 5th december, 2nd time applicant and i feel that i am getting no where, where as some applicants (congrads to them) have multiple offers. It really does pee me off as i dont know what i have done wrong, maybe its too much work experience/voluntary work as at my bristol interview alot seemed to have done very little....

Hey Gabby...right how about this as food for thought? We had been told that if you were a good pass or a reject that you heard in a week or so, and if you passed then you went into the mix to hear later. Then we had the green bit of paper that said everyone hears in March. On the basis that I heard in a week or so maybe the old system applies, which means you haven't been rejected and stand a great chance of getting your offer in March? Or it could just be I fell in the wrong pile! Anyhow, it struck me that this could be good news and that although we went on the same day it doesn't mean anything bad? Hows that for logic?
Sounds to me like you've got 2 possibles with Barts and UCL as no one has rejected you out of hand...
Keep the faith, us matures bring all sorts of good stuff to the mix so I'm sure you'll succeed. I know the waiting is hard but its all worth it when that brown envelope plops on the mat.

I hope so, with regards to offers.
I currently work as a care assistant in an EMI residential home, the eldery patients with dementia. I volunteered here since the beginning of summer 2004 but i was offered a job so i quite my job i had at halfords for 1 and half years. Ive spent a couple months is a GP surgery and 2 shelter homes. I have been at St Johns and volunteering at Good Hope Hospital (firstly outpatients and now eau/ward 18) since end of july/beginning of august 2005. Also done work experience placements at Queens Burton and BUPA for a week each. And i've done other bits and pieces. GCSE 3a* 2a 4b - average.
Ha unconditional, maybe in a dream..............

Well just have to send/go to as many places as possible, which i did. Well i have enough hospital work experience (shadowing side) and i am lucky good hope is so good with the voluntary work i got once a week. It quality as i have seen an angiography, xrays and other stuff. The residential home, well i am sure there are loads where you are. When i was in the GP surgery, my GP recommended it to me and the ladies there are so nice and now i work there....lol how sad! Just go in and see them face to face....then see what they say ( then they have to say it to your face). Also try GP practises (ask your own GP, i am sure he/she will understand unless they are arrogent!), the further away from your house the better as you may have the opportunity to sit in consultations as most patients wont be local. I had trouble in my GP surgery depending on the patient. Try nursing home, even disabled people, my brother did that.

Aah - bless you, Everhopeful and Dr Imill - I am down but not yet out for the count - there's still some life in my application - until and unless I am told otherwise I am keeping the faith that all will be well in the end......!
Tomorrow is another day - and who knows what the next few weeks may bring? Samed - keep going, my friend - it's still all to play for!
Take care, Gabby x

Hang on in there Gabby
No one's rejected you as someone else said. Me, I only got 75 percentile (which means I am not completely daft in my book), so definitely no interview with Barts and GKT.
Heard deafening silence from UEA
Hoping for interview with GKT 5 year even though they don't like peeps over 40..............
we live in hope,
Vic
