Number of places at Barts

Hi,
Just a quick question. Can anyone tell me how many places are there for medstudents at Barts and the London School of Medicine in QMUL??....trust me, Ive been looking for this answer in the prospectus and the website...but havent found it anywhere!!!...so please help me!!!

There are 277 places for medicine i think

Well I know in our 1st year of the 5 year course this year (2004-2005) there were 292 students, I needed to know this figure for a project I was doing. I can only only imagine this figure will get bigger especially as the new lecture theatre can accomadate 400 students!

I havent heard of any plans to increase student numbers

There's no plan to increase numbers in the immediate future, I guess this is limited by the dissection room, wet lab & IT facilities at Vile End.

incraesing the intake would require more than that. approval by the BMA i think. before they make any further increases to the intake i hope they sort out the present mess in the lack of training posts.
