GEP start date

Hiya,

Just a query. Does anyone know anything about an induction week for us beginning Monday 4th September? I just spoke to the Accommodation people and they said that we have one for the week before the course begins!

As far as I know we start on the 12th. A week earlier would mess me up big time!

Can anyone find out if this refers to those who are using accomodation or is it for everyone? What will it involve? (assuming it is actually taking place). It might be one day or something like that, rather than the entire week.

I've emailed gepadmissions but according to the lady on the phones no one is in the office today so I'm not expecting a speedy response.

I haven't heard anything about an induction week. I think the info I got when I got the offer said the 12th.

Hi Gonzo,

Yeah, my admissions letter said the 12th as well but the accommodation at Dawson Hall begins on Sept 3rd and so I rang up Accommodations and they told me there was an induction week, which I'm trying to clarify the nature of with the gep admissions.

Hi Gonzo,

I'm not expecting a reply to my email until the end of the week. I only sent it on Friday (when everyone was out of the office). If I don't hear anything by the end of this week I'll ring them - my boss is getting a bit tetchy about not knowing when her staff are abandoning her! Will keep you updated.
