How does the application process work?
Hi there, so i'm a NZ permanent resident, and i wanna apply for 2008 entry.. i know i still have quite a while to wait before i apply but i was just wondering how the application process works.
From what i understand i would have to do a foundation year first then i can try for medicine.. but i was jsut wondering if i still have to have an interview, and do the UMAT and all before..or is it just after the foundation year?
Hopefully someone can answer this coz its been bugging me for a while and yeh..
Thanks!Last edited by sabbyzworld; 11-07-2007 at 08:01 PM. Reason: title was typed incorrectly

You'll have to apply through an online system called UCAS. All universities use the system for application however you will need to do your own work on application to individual universities. Qualifications you already have could be seen as acceptable by the university but this will vary between each.

You do the UMAT during foundation year I believe. You will also need a certain number of points to be able to apply for medicine.
There's quite a bit of info here:

(You don't need to go through UCAS - that's for the UK system).
