Sodium and RAAS
Can an increase in sodium activate RAAS? My understanding is that RAAS is activated, in part, by a decrease in blood pressure. If sodium intake increases blood pressure, than I would think that an increase in sodium - such as eating a bag of chips - would not activate RAAS. I'm getting conflicting information in my pathophysiology notes.
Thanks.
