I like to think that once you own a textbook most of the knowledge inside gets magically transferred into your brain, even without you opening it. I think buying textbooks can be pretty addictive. Maybe thats just me though.

Like the others have said - I'd only bother buying textbooks if you're sure you're really gonna use them, otherwise just use the library. I bought a biochemistry textbook in my 2nd year that was on the 'essential reading' part of a reading list, cost me £40, and I still haven't even read one page.

By the way - heed - have you come across the second hand book table in the Glasgow Uni library? It's brilliant...

lol COMPLETLELY agree. I don't know what it is but I love nice new cleaen books, ready for me to attack with my highlighters I'm gonna be so broke next year!

I got Fundamentals of Anatomy and Phisiology by Martini off amazon for £15. Perfect nick they hadn't even opened the discs... so i'd say that keepin ur eyes open for a bargain isn't a bad idea
