    Martini Anatomy & Physiology Textbook

Hi, no replies on the textbook board so just thought I'd ask here... has anyone tried it? What do you think of it? Cheers.

    S'alright...

Whether it's adequate for you will depend, in part, on where you're going to study medicine.

I'm a first yr at UCL. I don't just want to hear from UCL students though, I just want to know what people thin of the book generally.

    Okay. Well...

The anatomy element is sufficient for putting the physiology into context, but nothing more - you'd need a dedicated anatomy book to use alongside it. The physiology element is fine, and many people in my year use nothing but Martini to achieve very reasonable marks, but I prefer to use a dedicated physiology text when I have the time.

    Like I said - s'alright.

In my opinion, Martini has the bulk of what we need in terms of physiology, but lacks heavily on anatomy. I find it has a good order though and you know where you're going. I'm using it for anatomy at the moment, but that's because I still can't decide which anatomy book to go for, in terms of physiology, there could be a bit more detail, and I'll usually go for Guyton's physiology book to see if there's any extra detail.
