I have just applied to the adelaide university for medicine...i will be sittingt he PQA in august. any one have any information about the PQA??

hey ammar87, the PQA is like an IQ test, all multiple choice. it also has a section that presents you with different senarios and ask you what you would do in those situations and why.

i'm sitting for it too, in november...is it anything like the ISAT(the test for monash and uwa med school)?

the first and second parts (i think) of the PQA is similar to ISAT in that in my opinion, they are what I would call the knowledge questions.

The third part is definitely very different from ISAT or UMAT. There is no right or wrong answer. The questions will give you scenarios and you will be asked to write down your response to the scenarios.

by the way, did all of you apply to other australian medical universities as well?

yea, like the first part is puzzle solving and kinds of math orientated problems.
in answer to passion, i applied to monash and UWA for medicine, and USQ and USYD for biomedicine, but ive only heard from adelaide, ive got a interview on the 8th of oct. have u haerd anyhting from the others?

no im malaysian, well half malaysian half english, im having my interview in KL. do u recon u could tell me how ur interview goes? cheers

questions were like why adelaide and such...do read up on how to handle interviews...prepare yourself for anything that can come your way...yup...good luck with it man..=))

alright cheers dude, ive read some real horror stories about insane interviewers, so that a bit of a relief. did they say when they would let you know if u got in?
