Hey guys,
Do we need any books in particular? Lab coats etc for the start of the course? Also I am going to mention the Ukcat again, what are your plans?

So happy for you guys who have got offers, but really annoyed at Jill and Kenny. Have persistently e-mailed Kenny to ask if I should assume that I have been unsuccessful as that three people from the same interview day have got offers even though he said 6 weeks and all he keeps saying is I won't hear until after all the interviews have been done.
No offence to all who have offers, but it seems very disorganised...you can't give offers to some and not the rest, especially when you know that people stay in touch...

I don't understand the application process for this course whatsoever. I applied at the end of March and they did not request a reference from me until the beginning of May. I have since had no further correspondence from Learner Services since I called them to confirm receipt of my reference on 10th May, so I emailed them last Thursday to ask whether I should assume my application had been unsuccessful. I received a response via email yesterday which was barely legible, but appeared to assure me than Kenny is still selecting interviewees and I would get a response either way very shortly.
If there are only 12 places for medical applicants and at least 3 have gone already, it makes absolutely no sense to me that they are still deciding who to interview. I thought the whole point was to interview all those who meet the criteria and then select those who perform the best. In addition, regarding the previous comments of others, why on earth are they inviting people to interview only to tell them that they don't have enough experience?? Surely this is simply wasting people's time and getting their hopes up unnecessarily. Congrats to those with offers but I have found this whole process to be an utter shambles.

I had emailed requesting a letter form Kenny to explain that the course is a route into Medicine as proof for GP's and such when I wrote requesting shadowing experience. He replied and said fine then never bothered sending anything out and is now not replying to emails. Which would be fair enough if he would send a simple 'you aint gettin' in' letter, but frustrating when you haven't heard anything.
I now have a weeks work experience for July lined up and no idea if its worth doing now. And childcare arranged (which I have to pay for). I will not be happy if I'm out of pocket for no reason.
If you are reading this Kenny, grrr.... *shakes fist*I got a place at Stow!
