Large (lol) female, frazzled look about her, in rags.

Usually everyone goes in and fills out forms at 10am, course intro and then individual intervies, so we will be there a while. Or that is how it has happened at the 2 colleges I've been at.

So looking forward to meeting you all on the 15th, oh and the interview too of course....I only hope they tell us on the day if we've been successful there and then, I did an Access to Science course back in 2001 and was told straight after interview I was successful ad got a letter confirming this later.

Received my letter requesting a satisfactory reference. I'll be sending it in on Tuesday (after the holiday) although there was no instruction on where to send the reference! I'm unsure if I should be sending it in hardcopy or via email. Does anybody have any thoughts on this? Where did you sent the reference and did you send strictly a contact or a reference letter as well?

I would love to hear back from those who go through the interview. I have been out of education for 6 years now and will most likely be Sh*%ing myself thinking about the interview process!

Good luck to everyone, hopefully see you in August!

Hi bubz, I asked my referee to provide a reference on headed paper as that is what I would normally do for an application to a university/potential employer unless otherwise directed. I will be sending mine on Tuesday also, to the Learner Services addresses at the top of the letter and via recorded delivery; it's helpful that they specify which one we should be responding to! I am also going to email a copy of the reference to them so that I know they definitely receive it, one way or another!

    Hi UKstern,

Thanks for the reply! I assumed that was the address to send it to. I was just going to do the same as you have mentioned, one to the address on the letter and one to the email (failsafe!). I have asked my reference to send the letter via a headed letter as well so hopefully all should be fine.

Best of luck my friend, hopefully see you for the academic year!

Hi guys, getting nervous re interview now, I know its says that its informal but I seem to perform rubbish in any interview never mind an informal one. I have been told that I fail to connect with the interviewer so need to fix that.

Does anyone know how they make the numbers up on the course i.e. is there a set number of places for would-be medics, a set number for dentists, etc?

Oh and any interview secrets would be hugely appreciated...lol...:s
