I was a nursing student for 2 years in warrington but i had to come home as i had 3 big loses in my family unfortunatley in the space of about 2 months and it wasnt a good time. Im currently holding down 3 jobs, one as a support worker for experience i guess, until i can save up enough to get to medical school. Im also redoing a few GCSEs with distance learning courses as during school i was an eejit and just wasnt interested. Luckily for me i live in norfolk so i could potentially go to COWA or Norwich City college for access if norwich ever decide to open the course up. Norwich is about 30 mins away and COWA is around an hour, however i really liked it up your end, and ive been thinking about MANCAT or or Liverpool Access, and also there was one at Carmel College in warrington. Looks like you may be a few years ahead of me as i said im probably going to enter an access course in 2018! atleast i will have 'LIFE' experience ey!!!

Yeah I've had a look at that and I was going to apply for it but I don't qualify for any other 6 year courses (like st georges where you need to live in London) and I didn't really just want to apply for one course and hope I get in. Have you applied to just 6 year courses??? I really want to start Medicine in 2013 you see and Manchester 6 year also accepts people on access courses they told me

and kylelowe1990, that sounds like a plan! I was really worried about how I was going to fit in working full time, getting experience and doing some A levels if need be but if you can work and study I'm sure I can
. And by the time you'll be applying, after 6 years of thinking about Medicine your application will be flawless!

Yes, when I first started looking I thought perhaps they were the same course run on two different sites but they are different programmes, both giving direct entry to Liverpool Med. I have applied to Liverpool college and I'm in the process of completing my application for Carmel.

You do not get automatic admission with the Access to Science course. I am currently on the pre course before this one at Liverpool Community College, and you definitely do not get automatic admission. I have been accepted onto the Access course with three subjects, which is what you need for Medicine but not necessarily easy to get onto as they only take an average of five students for the three subject courses.

I've applied for this course, I've known about it for three years. If I get in it would change my whole life.
