Apply to med w/ foundation degree in Biomedical science?
So basically, im in yr13, last yr of A-levels, my dad died during my as-levels, resitting my AS' now but I have extenuating circumstances letter from the school alongside A grade mock papers.
Resitting Biology and Chemistry, but doing GCE A-level Graphic Design and A-level Political Science
Have done 5 lots of work exp in hospitals
3 weeks outside (i.e Age concern, primary schools etc)
Got 590 on UKCAT
But....
I've been rejected from 3 of my 4 med applications (which were all 6yr med w/ foundation yr) still waiting on one but i dont think its gonna happen.
however I have an offer for a Foundation Biomedical Science degree, Its not an hons or Bsc its an Fd/sc.
1)Is there any chance any Med schools (if you know any, do tell) would take me if i did the Foundation BiomedSci?
2)I have also been told that I could take the Biomedsci foundation degree but do A2 Bio and Chem alonside it...is that a good idea?
3)Or should I stay in school an extra year and just do A-levels? (my school are changing to a much more difficult board nxt year)
HELP!!!!!
