advice please, menatal health nurse diploma nurse.
Hello everyone, this site is amazing, am glad to have found it. I need some advice been on the internet, since yesterday, and most of today, and the more the information i have found the more mudled up i have become, as its only untill yesterday, when i decided, to get the ball rolling to try and go into med school.
I currently have a diploma of higher education, mental health nursing, and am currently working as a mental heath nurse. I have 5 gcse,s with an A in english, A commerce, C science, C history and C geography, so were do i start from, considering my current situation. what course should i apply for in order to get into med school, because i have come across so many different courses, access to medicine, foundation to medicine, access to higher education diploma and life sciences, so am completly mudled up, please help.

Unfortunately i'm not too hot on the access route into medicine, so can't answer most of your questions.
But do not consider that to be your option. Some "GEP" courses also take Healthcare professionals that don't have Honours Degrees.
For example the Kings 4-year course is actually referred to a GPEP. Graduate and Professional Entry Programme. If you have 2 years post qualifying experience as a Mental Health Nurse, and fit the other entry criteria, you could go straight for that rather than an access course first.
See HERE for details (Page 18 in particular)
Other than that, its a matter of desk research to look at the different Medschools. Many offer Professional Entry Routes, but I'm not aware of any good resource the summarises the professional entry options.
Anyway. Good luck.
