Access to Medicine 2010 at CCN
Hi there everyone!
I was just wandering who else has got a place on the Access to Med course in Norwich for Sept 2010? I got my offer in writing but I hear that the course may not run as there were not very many successful applicants!
Does anyone know anything about this as I am beginning to panic! I have an interview at CoWA in June as a fall-back-option but I really like the look of the programme in Norwich. UEA is where I want to read Medicine and after speaking to admissions at UEA I feel that the CCN course is ideal (the location is a lot better than Kings Lynn too!). I just wander if it will run at all!

I have spoken to CCN who have assured me that the course will be going ahead..phew! I am applying to CoWA just in case though. Feel free to message me with any questions you may have about the interview and assessments that take place at CCN!
Good luck

Hi Kitty7,
Good job getting into CCN. I hear it's great. I met a former CCN student who is studying Medicine, so it must be a good programme. Just quickly, if you want to study at UEA why is CCN a better option than COWA?
Thanks.

Hi Jesse
,
Thanks!
Well I don't know if it is a better option but as I mentioned before I spoke to admissions at UEA and they told me that they do not favour one course over the other. Both are accepted but I feel I have more hope at getting into UEA through CCN as there are far less students; i.e. less competition, and more one-to-one time with tutors which can only be a good thing! I prefer the location too and hope to do
some weekend work at the University Hospital which again will only strengthen my application in my opinion.
What is your situation? Have you applied to either college?

I have been told that the course will be running for this Sept, the more applications they get for it the better...but they told me to apply to cowa as a back up..

Hi,
I have managed to get an interview for CCN Access to Medicine to begin in September 2011. I was wondering if you could give me any advice or tips with regards to the interview format; kind of questions they ask.etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards
