Job Dilemma & COWA

Hi

So, I got offered a place at COWA this year and I was REALLY excited about it, started reading up on the ol' sciences and whatnot. But then a couple of weeks ago I got offered this really great job at an NHS teaching hospital. Whilst the job itself is more lab-based, the hospital itself is massive and alot of surgeries are performed there (i.e. I would have an easier time shadowing surgeons, getting some insight into the NHS etc).

But now I don't know what to do! On the one hand I could take the job and just quit before I start at COWA, but then I'm not sure how much time that would leave me to get extra healthcare experience, also it looks a bit flakey on my part only working somewhere for 5 months. Or, I could defer my place at COWA and get a ton of experience, but then I really really wanted to go this year and I worry that putting it off might be bad thing, like I might lose momentum. A third option could be that I don't take the job at all and continue working in a job I'm not bothered about until COWA starts this year, and getting some extra healthcare experience in my free time.

So, if anyone's got any thoughts about this then let me know!

Take the job, start at COWA this year, you'll have best of both worlds, lots of experience and start straight away, don't worry about leaving after 5 months, i was temping alll over the show for 2 years before is tarted COWA, am off to manchester med school in september, don't worry about it, get down there and get that course whipped.
