    Question How to start

Guys I am sorry if I am going over about something you answer every day. I am 19 and finished my studies in Brazil. I can't figure out what I must do to get into medicine as my education is only equivalent to GCES. I am getting very nervous because I just don't know how to do it. Please help me. Also, I don't know if I can get funding, I am married to a British Citizen but my visa says no recourse to public funds . Please Help.

    No recourse to public funds

The funding world is a funny one... as you are married to a British citizen and you are not able to get access to public funds it really cuts down what education avenues you are able to access. Education in itself doesn't count as public funds but the fact that you are a recent immigrant may affect if you are eligible to apply for help. However, they may cover your basic course fees. The best way to find out is to apply and see what they say.

My friend is from the USA and he has been in Scotland for 5 years, paying taxes on his earnings as he works his way through medical school. The government will cover his basic training expenses but he is left to pay his tuition fees and his cost of living expenses on his own... they will not entertain his application for a student loan.

With these financial obstacles in your way it will be very hard to be successful in the testing journey to becoming a doctor but it isn't impossible... at least you have youth on your side

    Good luck.
