GCSE Results (2009) - Cardiff University?

Hello, i recieved my GCSE results a few days ago and i was slightly dissapointed... I want to apply to read in medicine or pharmacy maybe in Cardiff University but I realize that there is a lot of competition.

I am thinking of taking Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics upto to A2...

My GCSE Results (2009) are as follows:-

Information Technology - A*
Geography - A*
D@T : Systems and Control - A*
Food and Nutrition - A
Mathematics - A
Religous Studies - A
Science (Core) - A
Additional Science - A
Welsh Second Language (Short Course) - B
English Language - B
English Literature - C

Providing I do well in my A-Level's and in the UKCAT examination, would i have a good chance of getting into the courses or would i struggle a lot (and by that i mean - that i would need luck to get in?)...

Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!!
