Need Help - Totally Confused

HI everyone! I'm going to be starting an Access to Medicine course at Manchester College in Sept.

Firstly, I mucked up my english and maths at gcse and 'only' got Cs. I got As and Bs in everything else apart from those 2, so I don't know if thats a problem (some people say that doing an a2m course means that gcse's are not looked at as much?), Secondly, what medical schools accept the a2m qualification if gained at distinction level. And finally does anyone have any idea of my chances, it sound's silly because of interviews and UKCAT but going off the following academic results and lets say gaining a Distinc. in the access course what are my chances of getting in to a med school? >

Eng Lit B - Eng Lang C - Math B - Sci B - Des+tec B -
ICT A* - Btec 1st Sport Dist - Btec Nat. Sport MMD

(access medicine distinction lets say!)

You need to look at the stats for the access course you have applied to in order to know your chances of getting in, ask them how many of their students get in. Also, there's no point any of us on this forum telling you if we THINK you will get in, we will only know information relevant to our situation or hearsay which is well intentioned but maybe wrong. Write to each medschool and explain your situation and ask them, or order all their prospectuses and look in the small print re your maths and english results. Don't take what other people say, find out for yourself as its the only accurate way especially as entrance requirements change from year to year.
