Non graduate
Hi!
I'm thinking of applying to COWA this year. I'm a mature student (21) but haven't got a previous degree. Does being a non-graduate student constitute a disadvantage? From what I've read, I'm under the slight impression that universities tend to make unconditional offers to graduates rather than non-graduates...
Thanks in advance,

No it doesn't. You need to have relevant experience though.
Universities would never make an unconditional offer to a graduate studying at COWA. They still have to score 70% across the board in order to gain a place in medical school, so any offer will be conditional on that.
You may be thinking of graduates applying directly to the medical schools, having passed the GAMSAT, got their 2.1/1st class degree and got a decent UKCAT score if necessary. In which case, yes they will get an unconditional offer as they have no conditions left to satisfy.Could end up at any one of these by 2010:
King's College London. That'd be for 5 years.
Hull or York. Again, this would be for half a decade.
Leeds. I imagine that it's not quite five years actually, but that's the general idea.
Cambridge. The idea here is that you spend three years and nine months becoming a doctor. That really is quite a bit less than 4 years.
Might even end up at Oxford. I threw in PPP as a long shot. I like Biology that much.
