Oh pants!!!

I missed the application for UKCAT this year I've been juggling jobs this summer and totally lost track of time! I'm still piecing together my UCAS application which I will post for critique, which is not the issue.

I know this limits my options heavily, but I know St. Georges do not ask for UKCATs for the foundation year. Does anyone know of any others which don't either, as I really want to get out and do this!

What a clown shoe I've been!

I'm at the university of life at the moment! Just working in a few jobs with hectic hours. Oh god I only went on the open day a couple of weeks ago!

I really want to get out of retail and do something with my life. Essentially I didn't do at all well in my A-levels because I was very shy and generally disliked being around people, so I just buggered off down south to study music performance.

I'm a lot more sociable and confident now, and want a real career. But I've been so busy working now I don't get a student loan, and took my eye off the ball for a bit I adore science because its so interesting, and this would give me a lifetime of learning.

I'm going to have to apply in a bit of a panic, but I don't want to give off a bad impression from this, i can write very well usually, I just need to find out my best options.

"oh pants" ~ that's defintely a new expression. lol

And Bristol, Birmingham and liverpool don't ask for admission tests.

EDIT: They still ask for A-levels and GCSE as far as I know, you'd have to check for access programs.

Thanks for that, I don't have A-Levels. I have a BTEC and a HND in music practice, but I have strong GCSE results. Not A* in everything but I'm happy with them.

I'll send an email to them and see whats what.

Calm down. You missed the UKCAT but it doesn't sound like you're that prepared to make an application to do medicine anyway.
If you don't have science A levels, then you can only apply to premed programmes anyway, which are highly competitive and still require all the work experience in their candidates as medicine.
If you have science A levels and you did poorly, then you need to resit.
Do you even have work experience? You said you were in retail, so I'm guessing not a huge amount, although I apologise if I'm wrong.
I think you need to consider access courses if you don't have science A levels. In which case, you're looking at another two years. Either way, it's probably going to be two years so calm down. This isn't the end of the world.
