Help!
Hi, basically iv started year 13 and am doing biology, chemistry and geography. I got 1A and 3Cs for my ASs and i got 8As and 2Bs for my GCSEs. I didnt work hard for my ASs as for many of my exams are started revising a week before but this year i fully intend on doing well and hopefully getting the AAB needed for medicine, which only recently i decided is the career path i definately want to follow.
But the problem is, Im not going to get the predicted grades needed for medicine, i havent done any hospital volunteering, i havent done any work experience and havent done the UKCAT. So my best bet is that i solely focus on getting my AAB this year and if i do, take a gap year and reapply for medicine (and then do all the things i mentioned above).
So at the moment, im going to apply to UCAS for Biomedical Sciences. So what i wanted to ask everyone is, am i making the right decision??? and also which unis are the best to do biomedical sciences or any other related courses which increase my chances of getting into medical school???
Thanks in advance.
