Access to Medicine courses in and around London
Hi,
I am looking into the following universities to apply via the Access courses:
Glasgow, UEA, BSMS, Newcastle and Leeds.
At the moment I am thinking about applying UEA and BSMS via access route and then Peninsula and Nottingham via GAMSAT.
I am currently living back home with my parents in London, which is good for the finances and if I can would ideally like to continue doing this whilst studying for an access course.
What are other people doing? Do people normally move to where they are studying the access course and live there for the year? Do the colleges offering access courses help you in finding accommodation?
I could very easily stay at home in London and commute to Birkbeck, City and Islington College or Lambeth College. I could also easily commute to Brunel if I pass driving test, which I am taking soon. Sussex Downs College is possible to commute to also - but would be very tiring and long.
If anyone has any advice or ideas on this it would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon
