defering AFTER you've received an offer

i was wondering if it's possible after you've received a conditional offer to defer your entry for a year??

i think most medical schools will let you, i asked the dean of bsms if i could and he said they very rarely have any reason not to, as long as you show that youre going to spend your time productively and that you will be a better student as a result.. so no harm in asking! you might have to go in for an extra interview though xx
