Hello guys
Laura, I think this is a great idea. There seem to be a few of us prospective COWA students around. So...here goes...
My name is Priscilla, i'm 25, I live and work in London. I'm currently working as a Research Worker in Neuropsychiatry in one of the London hospitals. I love reading novels, poetry, playing the piano and listening to Jazz music and I have no idea where I am going to be living! I really should have organised that a couple of weeks ago really.
I'm taking a trip down to KL next weekend now.
Ads- how are you finding KL? How long have you been living there? I'm sure you are getting some excellent experience in auxillary! Sounds cool.

Hi D.A.J, I've only been here for 3 months, I have to say KL is not all that great, there are a few good pubs and clubs like Chicago's but its not really party central. The shops are quite good, all in easy reach of the college, buses run frequently and there are lots of cycle routes. Working at the hospital has been great experience, I'm on the bank so have been getting myself on as many different wards as possible. I'd recommend being an auxiliary to anyone wanting to do medicine, in fact I think it should be compulsory, some of the docs I've seen could have done with it!!! When you coming up for a look??

Adz,
I'm actually coming up next weekend- probably Saturday early afternoon, if you are around at that time for some semi professional tour guiding?! I have heard that there is a chance to take part in some nursing bank work while you are studying at COWA. Is that advisable? I'm not sure that the workload we will be getting when we will accomodate this though?
I'd appreciate it if you could put me in touch with some contacts? I'm sure there is much more to it than bed baths and emptying bed pans! Sorry, this is the voice of a novice talking!
Adz and I wannabeadoctor- I see you are both going to be applying for the linked places at UEA...me too! I guess this means that we are competitors! What's the deal with this? I have sent in a letter of application to COWA for a place on their course, but doesn't this still leave us with 4 places to apply through UCAS plus UEA or is UEA considered as one of our 4 choices?
