Too late for MANCAT?
Hi All
I haven't been on here for months! I decided to accept an offer for the midwifery degree course (starting Sept).....but I'm having major doubts.
Basically, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me whether it's too late to apply for the Access to medicine course at MANCAT?
I have downloaded and completed the application form, and am about to post it....just hoping I'm not too late. I know that if I got a place on the course then i would definitely give up my place on the Midwifery Degree.
Thanks in advance for any replies

Thanks for that
I actually spoke to someone today at MANCAT and as long as I'm quick I might be able to do the diagnostic test at the beginning of June.
Thanks again and good luck with your studies!

Hi Charlie,
Be carful as I was told exactley the same last year by admissions.
I applied in May and was told it wasn't a problem but was then told it was too late by the actual dept I was too late.
I applied in Jan this year and had my diagnostic tests last month.
I was told they were onlt testing in April this year.......
Yay I got into ManCAT!

Hi Vicxzy
Thanks for the warning! I've actually spoken to the dept who said that they are defo doing more diagnostics on June 1st. They're sending a letter out in the next few days.
I do hope its for this year and not next year though
I'll find out soon enough I suppose!
Thanks, Charlie x

Eeek....nope didn't speak to either of them. It might just have been some sort of general admissions office?
I hope you're right Thinkerbelle!!
Maybe I should call back and speak to one of the people you mentioned vicxzy.
Thanks, Charlie x

I had loads of hassle last year with being told various different things by the admissions office- none of which were right which is why I had to re-apply this year...
Vicki did the testing, Dr Ibrahim runs the course I think.Last edited by vicxzy; 15-05-2007 at 05:22 PM.
