GPEPS or undergrad
I'm a psychology grad, no science a levels, and want to apply to medicine. I have some work experience but its been voluntary and not a lot in terms of duration. So, do you think it would be easier to get onto the 5 year undergrad rather than the four year grad programme as it is so competitive?

(following from a previous post) yes, 5 years are far more approachable, albeit not easy to get into either. Yes, in theory, we meet the matriculation of these GEP's, such as Swansea and Georges, and although they state they require a 2:2 in their prospectus, they only make offers to students with a First (as far as I am aware) and the majority who receive offers are, of course, science based graduates. With so many applications for GEP's, chances resemble the lottery. It's not like we aren't qualified or good enough to do the job, or for that matter complete the course, it has been done - many times, but statistically everyone who applies is either very good or outstanding. Simple as that really... If med were a mountain to climb before entry, GEP would be more fitting with space travel. If you can afford it, go 5 year. Most people can afford 5 year with a professional loan, see HSBC for details!
