Hi
I am sorry to hear that.
Where did you do ur A2M course?
Which med schools u applied to?
I think you have the minimum entry requirement but some med schools favour A2M more than others, so it depends wher u applied, have tried UEA for example? I think as long as you have the entry requiremnet i.e the grades, u still can get in to med even if u had to apply few times!
It also depends on how you write ur personal statement not just wt work experience you had but what you learnt from that.
If I were you Contact all med school and c who will be welling to take me for next year.
Never give up, just keep applyin!
good luck

Hey, Mistyblue
I understand that you feel let down but, if you don't mind me saying so, you did significantly increase your risk of being disappointed by taking Access to Science, rather than Access to Medicine. I think that Southampton consider certain approved Access to Science courses, but I've not heard of any other medical schools doing so.
You have explained that you can't leave Liverpool, which will have caused you even greater difficulty. Liverpool has an extremely competitive medical school - it receives many (I'm not sure how many...) applications per place, from candidates with near-flawless academic records. You can't take it too personally that they rejected you - certainly not to the point of complaining to the University, as you're considering doing.
If you're serious about medicine, I think that you should take an Access to Medicine course. If you take a first degree, you'll run into funding problems when applying for medicine, later on.
The most widely-recognised and most successful Access to Medicine course is run by the College of West Anglia, in King's Lynn. If you really and absolutely cannot leave Liverpool, have you considered applying to the Manchester College of Art & Technology course, and commuting? That seems to me to be your best bet, at the moment.
All the best, of course.

I might be wrong but I'm not sure that Liverpool accept Mancat's course - I can't find many places that do accept it. I've applied for it but am beginning to wonder if the year might be better spent doing A levels.

Liverpool, and a good number of other schools, accept MANCATs Access to Medicine course.
