Has anyone had a back injury in the past and got into med school? I know a student md wife who has and got the ok from Occ Health?

I'm going for an access to med course at CCNorwich, and as a mature stu don't want to get fobbed off in a years time?

    Happy new year

Contact the med schools you intend to apply to with the details of your injury; I doubt anyone here can give a catergorical answer, especially without details of your condition. Good luck with your access course.

I have a muscular back injury which is not pathological in its cause and an MRI, X Rays, and bloods have all proved negative or essentially normal.

It was caused in the army on a PT lesson two years ago. Since leaving its all but gone, but I was wondering whether this history will be used against me as I'm a risk?

I'm starting an access course this year and don't want it to be for nothing. Has anyone else had any similar experience?

    Cheers,

    Dan

Really, you're going to need to contact the med schools you want to apply to. Just drop them an email!

Cheers mate, just had a flap. They haven't answered yet, but I think they'll leave it to Occ Health when I apply via UCAS?

I would imagine so. If it's not causing you any problems now, I can't see it being a problem.
