Hi looking for some advice here really. I'm about to start the long battle of gaining qualifications to get access to a medical degree as a mature (23) student. I currently only have GCSE's of grades C and i am a qualified Dispensing Optician. I am willing to start doing the A levels at night school but thought i'd try St. Georges foundation (6 year) degree 1st. At time of application (next year) i will also be a trained and hopefully experienced Medic in the Territorial Army and will be commencing the OU's Discovering Science module. Just wondering if anyone thinks i will have a shot at at least getting an interview with what i have> I iamgine that as with any medical programme competition is high making it extremely difficult to get into, any advice is really appreciated!
