access courses available at universities ?
Hiya, i'm a computing graduate, thinkin of going into medicine. however i only have a 2.2 and the graduate route into medicine is very competitive.
so i'm thinking of applyin for access courses based in universities, such as the one by lincoln university ?
however thats the only university based course that i have been able to find!!
Does anyone know of any other universities offering introductory/access courses that will allow me to get into the feild of medicine ?
Thanx

There's a difference between an Access course and a premed course - the former is an independant year-long course with similar material to the latter, but premed is the first year of a 6 year degree with guaranteed entry upon successful completion to year one of a standard medical course. You either apply to Access courses and then to a 5 year degree, or to a foundation/premed as part of a longer course.
Premed courses include: Sheffield, Dundee, Cardiff (and probably others).
Access: Kings Lynn and others.
