First of all i must apologise if this subject has already been tackled. Im applying for 2006 entry to St Georges for their foundation year medicine. Going along to the open day tomorrow to have a look at the place. Im looking at what courses i can do in the next few months to help with my application. Im ashamed to say i was more in to climbing trees at school than sitting GCSE's. I have in the last few years gained geography, maths and human physiology and am currently sitting chemistry, english and maybe physics, all at GCSE. I have other qualifications such as NVQ's and c&g's. I think with these i will manage to scrape the entry requirments. Hopefully the fact i am a State Registered Paramedic with 5 years exp will help. Anyone with a connection to Georges or not, with any advice would be very much appreciated...
hello paradan
you and i seem to have shared a similar background,i climbed a few trees in my younger days and also have about 5 years experience as a paramedic. i start on the access to medicine course on monday i also have work lined up using my para ticket in kings lynn.
would you not consider this course ?
craig.
Seems to be a mixed bag then. Ironically they asked me the research question. I told them that I didn't see myself doing research in that I am more a hands-on kind of person - although I said I was...
Rejection here too :( fairly gutted. Thought my interview was ok. My interview was back in November and cos of the long wait I got my hopes up that I actually had a chance... Just southampton to hear...
They must just give out the rejections first and then the offers.
Good luck for Warwick! I only have Bristol left and doubt I'll get in so probably will be applying again
