Unhappy Anyone studying the access to med at lambeth college or anyone applying?

    wassup guys,

i was wondering if anyone has done the access to med course at lambeth college? if so, what is the course structure like? do a lot of the unversities accept the course as a recognised rounte into med? or, has anyone made an application to lambeth college for the new academic year? i live in london and have been accepted onto the mancat's version fo the access to med course. although ive been accepted onto nthe course by the very nice docotor ibrahim, i really dont want to leasve my mum back in london...i no ur thinkin take her with you silly man, but silly man has already tried to convince mumsy dear and she dont want to shift from london...major dilemma...so i was looking at alternatives...lambeth is defo one...

please advise me further...all advise kindly accepted...well accepted with open arms

    yusuf

    Cool

I have applied for the access course at Lambeth and have an interview/welcome day thing on the 27th June. I live in London but am currently working in Edinburgh, which is where I will be on 27th

Suppose I have to persuade my boss into a little time off.....

Of course, you could feel a heavy cold coming-on, circa 26 June...

I used to be absolutely averse to taking fake sick-days, until my current employer started acting like a prick when I wanted to use annual leave to do medical work experience... I anticipate feeling under-the-weather four times between now and the end of July, around the time of my target med school open days.

    They asked for it.

    hey hey well turned out

its so tru? the weather is so unpredicatble u cud jus catch a hefty case of influenza a day or so prior to the interview and open day!!!ive been invited to the open day as well, so i mite see you there. i am abit worried though, because with the interview letter they have sent additional information about what the interview and s\assessment will consist of. IM SCARED OF TESTS!!!! LOL!!! it wud be so good to get into lambeth, cos i live in london...i dont wana leave my mumsy for mancat!!! so what sort of work are you doin/what profession are you in? and is it medicine you want to study? well i wish you the best of luck if i dont hear from you before the interview/open day, otherwise hope to hear from you soon!!

    yusuf

ps. IS ANYONE ELSE BEEN INVITED FOR THE ASSESSMENT?INTERVIEW DAY? LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE? WE COULD ALL END UPIN THE SAME CLASS!!!

    well dh2005

you no how bad it got for me when i asked for time off? they wudnt giv it cos 'too many ppl have booked their hols in advance', so i did the manly thing....and resigned!!! employers do take the mick sumtimes, but they cant be blamed cos they have a business to run, but they shud try and accommodate for everyone, especially when it is a big company like the halifax? but dam, i wish id met u before, you cud have given me a few pointers on how to fake a sickie...sorry never dun it before...always get scared to, and i no i wud probably piss myself!!!

dh2005, have you applied to lambeth as well?

dh2005, so ur goin to kings lynn? i applied to king's lynn, but have decided not to persue my interest cos i dont wana move away from home. but, wanted to congratulate you dh2005, cos i no one thing for sure, it is so hard to get into king's lynn....cos its so competetive, and chances aof gettin in are so slim because of the vast number of ppl applying....congratulations and best of luck with king's lynn.

so turn out good, how u feelin about the interview and assessment? i dunno what it is but i tend to panic hardcore in exams....i need a startegy to overcome this...anyone got any idea?
