    Application to Sussex Downs

has anyone applied to the sussex downs access course? If so, good luck - let us know when you've heard back about any interviews etc! I sent mine in last week and got a confirmation letter back pretty quick -hopefully we'll know soon whether we've been successful. Does anyone know how quickly we can expect to hear back from them? Hopefully not too long a wait!

Anybody heard yet whether they have an interview at Sussex Downs? What is the interview process - unfortunately I managed to miss the last open day so I think I may have a black mark against my name already.

    Am Course Brighton

    Hi All,

I have been asked to attend the pre-access days on the 28th and 29th and also informed of interview at BSMS on the 30th. Has this been the standard response sent out to potential applicants?

Would really appreciate it if anyone can give some advice on what to expect on the day. Have tried to contact the school to clarify but no luck yet , if I get a response I'll post it here!

    Good luck to you all!

    Cool Pre Access Days

    Hi Again

Managed to get through to the school and this is what they said with regard to the pre-access assessment task:

    1. A science based task is included but no details were given, but I was reassured that this would be elementary!
    2. A writing task to assess general English ability/comprehension?
    3. Interview

I was also told that over 100 applicants have applied and this has now been short listed to 30!

Hope this helps...I know not a lot, but she did tell me that all the task were basic and not to worry and no pre learning would be necessary!! Anyone out their already done it and would be able to shed a little more light??

Thanks Take me somewhere quite! Do u know the schedule for the 3 days (times etc)? Do u know how many they will keep out of the 30?
And, may I ask u if u are a woman or a man?

    Hi ALOHA,
The magic number seems to be 18, I think this was also confirmed on the open day. I enquired about the itinerary for the 2 days and they said we would all be split up into two groups and the days events would be explained to us all! Not giving much away are they! Did they mention the interview at bsms in you invitation ? Good luck and I'll see you at the cafe on the day!
