    Kings Lynn A2M reading list

    Hi

As a current KL student, a word of advice:

Don't pay any attention to the reading list. You faff around and do nothing much other than UCAS for the first couple of weeks, so find out who your tutors are and ask them what books you need, and buy them then. Don't buy any before you get here.

(I'm a little bitter after spending +£100 on books before I got here, only to be told that half of them weren't appropriate)

    Good luck guys!

Course is fine thanks.... it's a definite shortcut to Med School.

I have a conditional from HYMS (overall distinction)
I got rejected from UEA after interview
I withdrew from Liverpool and Newcastle interviews because I want to go to HYMS

    Have fun

    Hi,

Is an overall distinction HYMS' usual offer?

    Hello Molly

Yes - as I understand it, overall Distinction is their typical offer.

Arrow King's Lynn Physics Books for sale...

If anyone is interested I will be selling my "Physics For You" and "Medical Physics Imaging" books.
Cost new together is about £40 from Amazon.
I will sell them for 1/2 that, £20 together. Plus, say, £3 for shipping.
They are both in excellent shape.

If anyone is interested send me a message. (not post)

"Medical Physics Imaging" I feel is essential.
"Physics For You" is not so important if you are strong in Physics. If not then it is a good source of background info.
I am very good in physics but I still felt it was worth having them in case anything I didn't know was covered. There was, and I benefited. i.e. compton's scatter.

Note: The Physics teacher is good at giving handouts for topics, however they are not always complete.
