Hi again,
There were two people, both with full distinctions. The universities to which they applied were the more favourable uni's for the access course, previous academic achievements are of high standard, as with the work experience, one is an ex-ODP, and the other an academic. This is their second year of trying post-KL.
The reasons for rejection?????
Were they interviewed? Some people just don't come across well at interview - a friend of mine can't get a job in the law for that very reason, even though his degree is better than mine.
If they couldn't even get interviewed then they are either prone to seriously bad karma or their personal statements were not written to present themselves properly. Unless, of course, there were other aggravating factors... you say that one was an academic - an academic in what, and how old is this person? As for the other, I could pretend that I know what an ODP is, but I really haven't a clue - is it something particularly impressive?
I wish them all the best, of course, but I hope they've taken advice and improved upon their applications because, clearly, for everything that they have there's something missing.
Thanks guys!
@FairytaleGirl - A doctor I know got married before she qualified and took on her husband'd surname. They then divorced a few years after the qualified but she is still known by her...
I'm worried about putting all my eggs in one basket. It's funny because that's what I've been doing for years!
As for how many people still hanging on by their fingernails, I've lost count!
