Delay between application and interview

Hello! Could anybody tell me what is the delay between the moment when they receive your application and the interview? Have anyone of you ask for a linked-place, and in that case could you tell me what is asked during the interview?

I never inquired about a linked place!

I sent my application in early Spetember and had a interview on 12 November!

I think I waited a while because term starts in September so they had to get the new people into swing first before starting the process again!

I was interviewed and accepted yesterday and it was very informal and easy-going. You'll be asked about hobbies and work experience, your reasoning for wanting to be a doctor and, if appropriate, your reasoning for wanting to leave your current profession. Nothing too sinister, I promise you.

I didn't apply for a linked place in my covering letter, but I asked whether I could be considered for one during the interview and I was told that I could be... I don't fully understand the timing of the linked place scheme, but I got the impression that if UEA are interested in me I'll be invited to interview before the Access course starts.

i put my name down for the linked place at UEA aswell, i think i was told wed be invited for interview round about October time... but my interview was last year so maybe i got the dates wrong?!

Christie, do u mean there are two interviews: one for KL and one later for UEA? On the prospectus, it says it is a joint interview...

Sorry, Aloha - I appear to have completely ignored the whole purpose of your thread!

I applied on 11 January and received acknowledgement on 18 January. I received my invitation to interview around four weeks after that.

I hope that's more useful than my prior contribution!

Not sure if its meant to be a joint interview... when i finished my interview at Kings Lynn I was asked if I wanted to put my name down for the linked place with UEA and i accepted that. I assumed that id be called for interview when i started the Access course....
