King's Lynn 2005
Having tried to get a forum for students starting at King's Lynn this year, I have set up an MSN group - KingsLynn2005@groups.msn.com.
Feel free to visit :-)

Accom.
Hi Buffy
A few of us are planning on starting a commune :-) ... But seriously not decided yet. Have been offered a place at a mutual friend's place but not too sure whether I want all the complications that go with it !! Thinking of trying the College Accom. office again ....
Hope your friend finds somewhere suitable ...

Spice - commune has two people at the moment (should really say 1.5!!!) - membership is only by invitation :-).....as for the numbers on the course, I know they started with just under 60 last year ...don't know about this year though ...
Dimples - confusing people ?? isn't that a pre-requirement ?? !!! Did you find out any more about your apt ??

hiya this is totally off topic, but i just been looking at the HullYork Medschool site and apparently if you have a 2.2 you shoudlnt apply! Do ya think that applies even if you complete an Access to Medicine Course?

Contact Hull/York Admissions to get the official line (they're a nice enough bunch) but I think that Access to Medicine would bring you back into contention. There are a number of people who got 2.2s (or worse) before taking Access who have moved onto medical school.
Of course, be prepared to explain why you didn't do so well...

Hi Christie
Don't think your Degree grades will make a huge difference ... but you need to look at Uni's which are more open to 'Access Courses' ...and depending on your age, to mature students (which is what I am trying to find out !!) ... are you keen to go to Hull ?? Because I know UEA looks at the KL access course very favourably ... hope this helps
