I was wondering when you discover you have an interview?

Not much informaton about applications or interviews on Aberdeen Forum. Loads on other medical school forums though. What is happenning? I am an English applicant and I have seen a lot of information about numbers applications receieved, how many they are going to interview, when the interviews are etc both on the forum and on specific Medical School sites such as HYMS and Keele. I really would love to go to Aberdeen, as my dad did all his education there and he always talks very fondly about the Uni, Aberdeen and Scotland.

Does any body on the forum know anything like total number of applications receieved, how many they are going to interview, how many offers they are going to make etc?

Hey cool954,

Its quite striking to see how frequently the same questions are asked - in-depth observation allows one to appreciate how most applicants worry about same things and think in a similar way about the whole selection process. I guess that is one way of saying - yes, the question you're asking has been asked many times before on this forum, even by your fellow 2011 applicants (and the answer's been given multiple times, too). All it takes is a little digging.

Here's the >>link<< you've been looking for. Same goes for interview Qs - (but in this case, answers are scattered throughout the forum so the digging might take a little bit of time - unless you use the search function [hint] ).

PS. Interviews began few weeks ago and will continue until mid-March.

I haven't heard anything yet! panicking and losing hope. I called admissions today, and they said that inerview calls will be sent up to mid March. Last interviews will be end of March. Hope I get one.

Have any of you guys had a decision? Just I've heard of a whole batch of offers going out and I haven't heard anything, so was wondering if the offers go out a few at a time like the interviews?

I'm also waiting to hear! It looks to me like most unconditionals went out on Friday along with a few conditionals.

Are you also a Scottish applicant, and how did your interview go?

Yup, Scottish applicant. Interview went okay, i guess, but it was tough. They asked some really tricky questions, and (even though i answered them) I've no way of really knowing if they liked my answers. Thing is it was only a couple of weeks ago, and they said decisions would be out at the end of the month, so I don't know whether to worry that I've not heard or not =S
